A wide-angle landscape of a salt marsh at dusk. Tall, golden marsh grasses frame the foreground, leading to a still body of water that perfectly mirrors a line of dark trees and a vibrant orange sunset glowing through the clouds.

Research Interests

Maximillian Prager is a Ph.D. student at the Institute for Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET). Working with Drs. Yonathan Zohar (UMBC) and Eric Schott (UMCES), Max studies the endocrinology and reproductive development of fish in recirculating aquaculture systems. Max hopes his research will help address challenges in sustainable seafood production and marine conservation, easing pressure on wild fisheries and reducing human–nature conflict in the ocean.
