Dr. Petra Byl is an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. She has an Oceanography PhD with expertise in molecular and computational approaches to investigate aquatic ecosystems, and is passionate about scientific outreach and distilling complex concepts into meaningful insights for all audiences.
