Research Interests

My research focus is manipulating reproduction in fish, mainly to support Aquaculture.

I study the mechanisms that drive, direct and regulate puberty and ovulation in fish at the level of the brain, pituitary and gonads. My research utilizes physiological, biochemical and molecular approaches on model organisms from zebrafish for basic research, to large fish like seriola and rockfish for more applied purposes.

My recent interest is developing platforms for hormonal treatment through DNA plasmids to manipulate puberty in late maturing fish.
