IMET Sustainability Committee
The IMET Sustainability Committee has been established to support and promote sustainability efforts at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET). The committee aims to increase sustainability awareness within IMET, integrate sustainability practices into our work, and share progress with the IMET community.
General Responsibilities:
Research and make recommendations on ways to reduce electricity, fuel, water, and materials use
Support reduction of the IMET carbon footprint
Develop strategies to reduce waste from IMET (partly through recycling and composting)
Educate the IMET community about sustainability
Facilitate “green” IMET purchasing
Sustainability Definition:

Committee Composition:
The IMET Sustainability Committee membership includes representation of Faculty, Students and Staff from the three partner institutions; UMB, UMBC and UMCES.
