Ammar Hanif graduated from IMET with his Ph.D. in 2019. In 2018, he was a Knauss Fellow working at NOAA and studying mussels in the Great Lakes. He contributed to a project examining what mussels can tell us about microplastics in the environment. Recently, NOAA released a podcast on this project, which you can listen to here.
