Drs. J. Sook Chung and Tsvetan Bachvaroff led the completion and publication of the blue crab genome. This information can be used to protect the blue crab fishery and the Chesapeake Bay. Future researchers will be able to use the genome to answer important research questions for the betterment of the blue crab and our ecosystem as a whole.
